If you've looked at any of the other lenses in this section before coming to this one, you'll notice something different: there are no 'Cropped' images. All the other Pen F lenses I've tried on full-frame, even those that don't really need cropping, still benefited from some vignetting correction. But not the 70mm f/2! This lens is completely free of vignetting. And there's more! There is none of the smeary blur in the corners that is visible to at least some extent in all the others. In other words, this lens can be treated as a full-frame lens, pretty much without compromise! (Note: I cropped the final version of image 4 just a little, but that was just for aesthetic reasons, not to eliminate any vignetting.)

Of course 70mm is not a common focal length among full-frame lenses, so what is it like to shoot with? Actually, I really enjoyed it! This lens can be treated as either very long standard lens, or a shorter than usual portrait lens, and I found finding shots with this focal length came very naturally. I can imaging it would make a lovely portrait lens in somewhat constrained environments where you can get much distance between yourself and your subject. So all in all… highly recommended!
