This is where things start to get quite exotic! These lenses come from commercial 35mm cinema projectors… the kind you would have found in commercial cinemas of the 1970s and 80s. They are large, heavy and are more complicated to adapt to modern digital cameras than any of the other projector lenses I have covered. They can also get quite expensive: you often see them being advertised for several hundred £s. This is partly because they often have large imaging circles, meaning you sometimes see them being sold to be adapted to medium format camera mounts. But with some patience they can be found on eBay for reasonable prices.
